Rules:
|
1.
|
Entry deadline: Monday, September 28, 2011 for the protein analysis to be completed by Texas
A&M University Forage Testing Laboratory. Entry fee is per bale or sample and helps defray
protein analysis charge.

2.
|
Entries will be accepted from resident of Kerr County. Entries accepted at Kerr County Cooperative
Extension Office, Kerrville, Texas.
|
|
3.
|
An entry shall consist of one bale. In the case of loose stacks or round bales, a sample will consist
of approximately 20 pounds of hay, bound and tied. Producer may enter as many bales as desired. Entry
fee is due when bale is submitted.
|
|
4.
|
Entries may remain on display during the Kerr County Fair; entries must be removed by October 30, 2011
by 6:00 PM.
|
|
|
Classes:
|
Class 1: Sorghum Sudan
Class 2: Winter Annuals (oats)
Class 3: Legumes
|
Class 4: Perennial Grasses (Klein Grass)
Class 5: Coastal Bermuda
Class 6: Other Bermuda
|
|
|
Ribbons will be awarded to the following classification groups:

Ribbon Award
A - Blue
B - Red
C - White
|
Point Score
85 or above
70 - 84
69 or below
|
|
All blue ribbon entries will be eligible to compete at the State Hay Show
|
|
