1. Animals must enter at service entrance gate on Riverside Drive.
Begin arriving at 12:00 noon., Saturday, October 25, 2008. Entry fees and
weigh-in cards must be turned in by 1:00 p.m.. Enter
at show, no pre-entries.
2. Parking in designated areas only, illegally parked vehicles will
be towed at owner’s expense. Exhibitor and parents admitted at no charge. All others pay general admission fee, no
exceptions.
3. Showmanship begins at 1:30 p.m. Showman fee paid at gate - $5.00
(cash only). Show immediately following.
5. There will be a 40 lb weight back on all 1st and 2nd
place animals.
6. Dressing is not allowed.
Steers will be shown with artificial hair, no adhesives, BLOW &
SHOW. No clipping on grounds.
7. Classes will be split in the three breed divisions; American,
British and European. Weight
classes will be determined by number of entries.
8. Animals will show by breed. Show order is as follows: American, British, European.
Final classification will be at the discretion of the judge.
9. Judges decisions are final.

October 26, 2008. Entry fee and weigh-in cards must be turned in by 9:00
a.m. (scales will be available). Enter at show, no pre-entries.
2. Parking in designated area only,
illegally parked vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense. Exhibitor and parents admitted at no charge.
All others pay general admission.
3. Showmanship will begin at
9:30 a.m. Showman fee paid at gate - $5.00 (cash only). Show will start at
10:30 or immediately following the Showmanship show.
4. No minimum weight, maximum
weight 175 pounds for Barrows and Gilts. Absolutely,
“NO BOARS”. There will be a 10-pound (+or-) weigh back on
all 1st and 2nd placing animals. (Example: if your animal weighs in at 100
pounds, it can weight between 90 and 110 pounds at weigh back.)
5. No grooming aids other than
water, clipping is optional but recommended. No clipping in the barn. Be
prepared to double up in your pen. Kerr
County Fair is not responsible for dividers. (If your animal can’t be with another,
BRING A DIVIDER). Shavings are not furnished, bring your own.
6. Show order is as
follows: Durocs, Hamps, Black OPB’s,
White OPB’s, Yorks, and
Crosses. We will show, gilts against gilts and barrows
against barrows, with Champion and Reserve Champion Gilt and Barrow
chosen. Then Champion and Reserve
Champion of the breed will be chosen for the Grand Drive. This is being done to speed up the show.
7. Judges decision is final in
all cases.
